conference highlight
Why is there a Conference highlight?
A highlight is chosen to inspire the program so that each year our attendees are exposed to new ideas, people and companies within the growing healthcare technology industry. Not every session topic will be directly tied to the highlight, however it will influence our choice of Keynote Speaker, Executive Roundtable Discussion Leaders, and some of our Panelists.

What is the Conference highlight in 2017?
Female entrepreneurship in healthtech will be spotlighted at this year’s event. We’ll feature startup founders, inventors and innovative leaders from healthcare technology companies.
Why is the Conference highlight Female Entrepreneurship in 2017?
Industry events throughout the year lack female representation on agendas. This should come as a surprise considering 78% of the healthcare workforce is comprised of women. Rock Health’s research shows that in 2015, of the 45 Fortune 500 healthcare companies, women executives comprise, on average, 20% of the seats across all leadership teams and 0% of the CEO roles.
We’ve chosen to highlight female entrepreneurship in healthtech in order to:
  • Give female founders a platform to showcase their innovations.
  • Facilitate discussion about the value of investing in women.
  • Inspire and share resources with the next generation of female founders and CEOs.
Who determines the Conference highlight?
The current and previous Conference highlights were chosen by the Corporate Sponsor and Event Producer. In the future, we may ask the network to vote on a highlight. Send your suggestions to contact@htvnc.com
